The powder bed process (L-PBF) can be used to produce precisely porous metal parts in which the pore size and distribution can be precisely controlled.
-distribution can be precisely controlled. The aim is to optimise the structural and functional requirements of components that are often difficult to achieve with conventional manufacturing methods. Permeable, yet metallically stable structures can, for example, equalise excess pressure, better control temperatures or absorb liquids.
