Additive manufacturing is gaining more and more interest in the RF (radiofrequency) community, due to its ability to unlock new designs and new functions. Among these applications, we can find both metal 3D printing and dielectric material 3D printing, with both thermoplastics and ceramic materials being used. In this presentation, we will explain de key benefits of dielectric 3D printing, such as the possibility to print materials with equivalent permittivity, the possibility to print metamaterials and other design features, and we will showcase some use cases of 3D printed antenna and radar components.
