The Intrapreneurs were chosen from staff in key functions in order to collect and grow knowledge in a structured way. In addition, the core team “3Dprint@iwis” serves a function of showing presence, aided by a forum set up within the intranet sporting the same name.

Conversely, the usage of the now focused know-how creates an increasing interest and rethinking off the beaten track. This goes for the staff as well as the product range.

Furthermore, to recognize and revolutionize long-established patterns, new conducts need to be trained. The primary objective is to further improve know-how as well as encouraging and demanding creative thinking. Classic learning formats such as trainings and events are used to reach this objective. In addition, an application-contest was held for making sure that every target group is reached. This was done so that employees get encouraged to deal with additive manufacturing with the intend of them considering this manufacturing process in the future.

The presentation highlights these and other processes which serve the goal to filter the innovative usage of AM and to implement additive manufacturing as a mindset within the workforce. It is targeted towards experienced professionals, interested newcomers and everyone in between.
