10 years 3D Pioneers Challenge

The 3D Pioneers Challenge (3DPC) will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025. Since its inception, the competition has established itself as one of the world’s leading platforms for innovation in additive manufacturing. Over 335 finalists, 72 winners, and 32 special mentions have taken that stage, demonstrating how advanced technologies can enhance our lives. With participants from 34 countries and six continents, the competition reflects the global potential of this innovative industry. The 3DPC was supported by 85 jurors and 75 renowned partners who contributed their expertise year after year.

This decade now peaks in the jubilee edition, where the “Pioneer of the Decade” will be crowned with the coveted special trophy. All finalists from the past nine years are automatically nominated to apply with their latest projects. For the first time, the entries will be presented to the complete jury panel of the last decade.

The jury also considers the journey of the former submission, the company, the person or the team behind it. “Where did the journey take them? Where were the pioneers with their projects then, where are they now? What impact are they currently creating for the 3D printing sector or the manufacturing industry? What are their impulses to push the future?“

It will be exciting to discover who will make it to line up with the “Who's Who” of the scene for the decade exhibition at rapid.tech 3D 2025 in Erfurt.
