Interview with Martin Gasch
Martin Gasch has been a member of the rapid.tech 3D Advisory Board since 2023. He has been attending the event for over ten years. As a Business Development Manager at Siemens Digital Industries Software, he is responsible for the content of the Software, AI & Design forum on the advisory board.
Mr. Gasch, what topics will dominate the 2025 Forum?
We are focusing on AI. The speakers will examine, on the one hand, how to identify AI use cases for manufacturing. They will also address legal aspects of AI use. Another topic is the implementation of digital threads, the digital "common thread" in process chains, using concrete use cases. The speakers will also present examples of how to tap into global markets through decentralized additive manufacturing and how multifunctional components can be manufactured automatically.
What current challenges are reflected in this program?
This continues to include the economic integration of 3D printing into the entire value chain. Ultimately, it's about achieving greater competitiveness, for example, by opening up new business areas and markets with the help of additive manufacturing. AI is proving to be a lever for achieving these goals more quickly. We will present examples of this in the Forum.
What motivates you to get involved with rapid.tech 3D?
rapid.tech 3D is a very lively event. The focus here is more on professional exchange than at similar events. Both experts and newcomers meet on an equal footing. They discuss current trends in additive manufacturing and also examine what's happening on both sides of 3D printing, keeping the entire process chain in view. The presentations and discussions provide many ideas for their own business. I contribute my knowledge and experience, but I also learn new things every time. All of this motivates us to work together to advance additive manufacturing.
