MAN Energy Solutions develops solutions to decarbonize the global economy. As a supplier to relevant emitters and industries in which climate protection is a challenge, MAN Energy Solutions plays a key role. We are using this lever to drive forward the global energy transition. Our technological lead enables our customers to use energy more efficiently, reduce emissions and use environmentally friendly alternative fuels.
Additive manufacturing has great potential for turbomachinery and engine due to its characteristic advantages - such as new design possibilities or the speed from 3D model to physical component. This applies to both existing and future decarbonization solutions. At the Center for Additive Manufacturing at MAN Energy Solutions in Oberhausen, Germany, this new technology is used to manufacture components more efficiently and to enable environmentally friendly solutions through improved component performance. The presentation will highlight selected application examples and discuss the potentials and challenges that arise from the integration of 3D printing into existing production chains on an industrial scale.
